HOW LONG IN THE RESERVES? WHAT IS YOUR STATUS (AGR, TR, ART)?  10 years, currently an ART

 

WHY DID YOU JOIN?  Family history of military members

 

HOW LONG WITH THE 340TH FTG?  A bit over a one year

 

WHAT IS YOUR DUTY TITLE?  Section Chief, Medical Services

 

WHAT DO YOU DO ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE? I am an Air Reserve Technician, this is my civilian job

 

HOW DOES YOUR JOB SUPPORT THE 340TH FTG MISSION?  I ensure members are medically qualified and meet retention/flying standards.

 

WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST REWARDING ABOUT YOUR WORK AT THE 340TH?  It is a unique mission and I get to interact with several active duty military treatment facilities so it is challenging to ensure the active duty medical staff are following the Reserve processes.  I find it rewarding when it all comes together and everyone is on the same page and the member is taken care of.

 

WHAT DO YOU DO ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE?  As an ART, this is my civilian job

 

FAMILY? SPOUSE/KIDS?  I am divorced, but I have three wonderful, beautiful girls

 

ANY COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES?  On occasion, I have volunteered at the San Antonio Food Bank, donated toys for Christmas, helped out at my daughters school and the local pet shelters

 

WHAT IS THE ONE PIECE OF INFORMATION OR ADVICE ABOUT WORKING AT THE 340TH FTG THAT YOU'D PASS ON TO NEW MEMBERS OF THE 340TH FTG TEAM?  The 340 FTG is invested in their unit personnel; they want highly qualified and motivated personnel to get the job done.
