Reserve Affairs senior civilian visits 340 FTG

April Fisher (L) and Eddie Scribner (C) flight equipment life support technicians with the 559 Flying Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, put the finishing touches on a G-suit for John Fedrico, deputy assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Reserve Affairs and Airman Readiness in preparation for a T-6 orientation flight here Feb. 13. Fedrico’s visit, hosted by the 340 FTG, served a dual purpose. Fedrico presented a letter of thanks to one of the unit’s own, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Todd Ernst. Ernst was honored for his efforts to help ensure families of Reserve and Guard service members receive the same survivor benefits as active duty service members. Fedrico also received a mission brief and got to experience the unit’s operations first hand. (Air Force photo by Sean Worrell, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Public Affairs)
