JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Consuello Geston, 340th Flying Training Group Military Personnel Section, Force Development Division chief, has been named the November 2020 On the Spot Award winner.
Candidates are nominated by the senior noncommissioned officer council for the monthly award, which is presented by Col. Michael Vanzo, group commander. The award promotes productivity and provides immediate, visible recognition for exceptional civilian and enlisted contributions, as they occur.
Geston has been with the MPS only a short time but she has already made a significant impact on operations. She is being praised for quickly immersing herself in 340th FTG force support development processes and programs -- seeking ways to improve the level of service and accountability provided. After just 48 hours of research she helped three members find out they were only one class away from completing their CCAF degrees rather than the 12 credits they had previously thought they needed. She also revamped the Reserve School Selection Board messaging and spreadsheet to enable a more efficient process in vetting applicants for the Developmental Team Board.
“I can’t say enough about her and what is yet to come from this amazing addition to the 340th,” said Vanzo.
