JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Master Sgt. Tyechia McBride, 340th Flying Training Group Command Section, Personnel Programs section chief, has been named the June 2020 On the Spot Award winner.
Candidates are nominated by the senior noncommissioned officer council for the monthly award, which is presented by Col. Michael Vanzo, group commander. The award promotes productivity and provides immediate, visible recognition for exceptional civilian and enlisted contributions, as they occur.
“Since taking the seat in late January, Master Sgt. McBride has positively turned the personnel section of the CSS around,” said 340th FTG Executive Officer Maj. Yolanda Seals. “She has led by assisting and advising on squadron issues. She’s built relationships with not only the 340th Headquarters Military Personnel Section but with personnel sections in all of the squadrons.”
McBride also assisted the executive officer with other items such as the mail outs for officer promotion boards, coordination for the executive CSS Summit and the tracking and resolution of headquarters decorations that were six months behind.
McBride is a stand out Airman, “said Seals. “She has gotten kudos from members in the unit and squadrons for her expertise and quick resolution to questions, problems and issues.”
