JOINT-BASE SAN ANTONIO-Randolph, Texas -- 340th Flying Training Group Plans and Programs Deputy Chief Maj. Teresa Davies reenlisted former subordinate Tech. Sgt. Angelica Munoz, Defense Logistics Agency supply/logistics specialist, June 20 in front of a private Cibolo, Texas memorial created by Munoz’ father. Army Vietnam-era Veteran Baltazar Munoz, who retired after 28 years of service, built the patriotic memorial to honor his, his brother’s, their veteran comrades’, and his daughter’s service. His daughter asked Davies to reenlist her because, although they no longer work together, Davies has been a guide and mentor from whom the young enlisted member routinely seeks counsel. With 14 years of service behind her, Munoz reenlisted for six years in front of the memorial to honor her father for the example he set for her.
