JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-Randolph, Texas – Three enlisted military training instructors assigned to the 433rd Training Squadron located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, were honored during the 2019 Military Training Instructor Association Banquet held Oct. 17.
The 433rd TRS is one of seven squadrons assigned to the 340th Flying Training Group at JBSA-Randolph..
The 433rd MTIs honored were Tech. Sgt. Christina Rapolla, named the Reserve MTI of the Year; Master Sgt. Hugo Escobedo, named the squadron’s MTIA President’s Award winner; and Tech. Sgt. Sammuel Alanis, named squadron Rookie of the Year.
433rd TRS Blue Rope of the Year winner, Master Sgt. Mike Hernandez, led the MTI Mass to honor MTIs, past and present during the Oct. 18 BMT graduation at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
The 433rd is the only all-Reserve MTI squadron in the Air Force. 433rd TRS MTIs partner with Active Duty MTIs to produce 41,000 new Air and Space warriors annually.
