JOINT-BASE SAN ANTONIO-Randolph, Texas – Chastity Ramirez, 340th Flying Training Financial Services travel lead, was named the October On-the-Spot Award winner by Col. Allen Duckworth, group commander.

The commander implemented the award to provide immediate and visible recognition for the contributions of exceptional civilian and enlisted headquarters members as those contributions occur. Nominations are submitted through the group senior enlisted council.  In recognition of their excellent performance, award winners are granted the commander’s parking slot for a week.

Senior Master Sgt. Amy Whitman-Rector, 340th FTG Financial Management section superintendent said she nominated Ramirez for her always positive attitude and because she is always ready to help out wherever needed.

Ramirez was lauded for her work as the point of contact for all end of fiscal year 2018 events. Whitman-Rector said Ramirez’s support throughout the group truly lightened the atmosphere during the challenging closeout season.

Senior Master Sgt. Craig Pfister, 340th FTG inspections superintendent, said he was happy to concur with Ramirez’s nomination. “She resolved a travel voucher of mine that had been stalled since May in a very short time. She is definitely a valuable 340th asset.”
