340th FTG thankful for second new BMT graduate

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-Randolph, Texas – The 340th Flying Training Group is thankful for the group's second brand new Airman, who was welcomed to the fold the day after Thanksgiving by group members and families during the Nov. 22 basic military training graduation parade at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

New group member Airman First Class Samantha Songstad has departed for Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, where she will attend personnel training. Following technical school training, she will report to group headquarters at JBSA-Randolph, where she will serve in the manpower and personnel directorate, led by Lt. Col. Mark Hiatt.

In addition to the group headquarters staff, Commander Col. Allen Duckworth's wife Cheryl and children, Patrick and Elizabeth, attended the graduation and welcome Songstad and her husband Senior Airman Samuel Gordon, as well as both of their parents, to the 340th and the Air Force Reserve family.
