JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Tech. Sgt. Kyle Gossen, 340th Flying Training Group Education and Training assistant noncommissioned officer in charge, has been named the October 2020 On the Spot Award winner.

Candidates are nominated by the senior noncommissioned officer council for the monthly award, which is presented by Col. Michael Vanzo, group commander. The award promotes productivity and provides immediate, visible recognition for exceptional civilian and enlisted contributions, as they occur.

Gossen is being lauded for going above and beyond to ensure the 340th’s education and training mission never faltered despite COVID-19 restrictions. His resolution of most taskings within a 24-hour time frame and his exceptional customer service has been praised by 340th FTG Commander Col. Michael Vanzo.

His authoring of the new/approved annual and monthly status of training quad chart was applauded by 340th Superintendent Chief Master Sgt. Scott Goetze. The SNCOC also took note of his seamless in-processing of the new Force Development Chief, Consuello Geston.

In appreciation for their exceptional performance, every on the spot winner is provided the commander's parking space for the week of their choice.
