JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-Randolph, Texas – In less than one year, Master Sgt. Angelina Manby has performed extra duties to fix a glaring need for the 340th Flying Training Group staff.
Manby delivered the goods when she ordered 220 Operational Camouflage Pattern uniforms for 55 Traditional Reservists and Air Reserve Technicians. Each member received four sets of OCP uniforms to include accouterments, T-shirts, socks and a pair of boots.
As an untapped resource, Manby spent roughly 288 hours outside of her primary duties as an occupational and safety manager.
Since May 2020, she sized each member, prepared packages, and coordinated deliveries. In total, she coordinated 14 uniform exchanges that involved 13 deliveries to the post office to ship OCPs to six flying squadrons, and visits to the 433rd Training Squadron.
Due to Manby's tremendous effort, the 340th FTG is one of five units in the 22nd Air Force that are 100 percent OCP compliant.
The “On the Spot Award” is presented in appreciation for exceptional performance. Manby executed the mission and displayed elite work ethic that resulted in her being recognized for her contributions to the 340th FTG.
