The 340th Flying Training Group launched a new podcast Oct. 24, 2022, to bring total force tips and conversations from subject matter experts and leaders throughout the Air Force that are intended to help inspire and inform.

The first episode features a conversation with Col. Kyle Goldstein, 340th FTG commander; Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Howard, 340th FTG senior enlisted leader; and Lt. Col. John Somogyi, 340th FTG Plans and Programs director, and delves into the topic of identity, specifically the 340th FTG, and how the unit became known as the Avengers.

“Our hope or goal is to provide more information to the 340th members that are local and at all our [geographically separated units]. This form of communication allows for our members to access, not critical, but informative data at the time and place of their choosing,” said Howard. “We need our members to let us know what interests them so we can address those subjects along with the other subjects we have identified.”

Future episodes will also include interviews with historians about the group’s lineage, a day in the life of a training instructor, the evolution of Air Force flight instruction and listener-suggested topics.

New episodes are scheduled for release once every month and there are multiple ways to access the podcast:
