Saving lives, one walk at a time

These comfy cats are not homeless - they’re residents of the Humane Society of New Braunfels Area (Texas). However, the shelter accepted more than 800 homeless, lost or abused cats between May and mid-July. Volunteers like 340th Flying Training Group Logistics Plans Superintendent Senior Master Sgt. Kwame Tawiah help care for the shelter’s guests until they are adopted. Experienced volunteers are valuable team members, able to help out without staff guidance or supervision.
