℠2015 – Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, along with Deputy Secretary Bob Work, participated in the Hall of Heroes induction ceremony honoring retired Army Capt. Florent A. Groberg in Washington, D.C., Nov. 13. Groberg was recently awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan. In August 2012, while serving on active duty in Afghanistan, Groberg was helping lead an escort for a meeting with a local official when his unit encountered a suicide bomber.
