DISASTER RESPONSE
Joint Force Headquarters - Alabama National Guard
Aug. 21, 2018 | 2:55
How does the Alabama National Guard stay #AlwaysReady to respond to natural disasters? We are always training. Just a few weeks before #HurricaneMichael arrived, our CERFP team conducted a multi-day operation with a very similar scenario, using local first responders, civilian role-players, and the broad capabilities of the National Guard to meet the needs of a nightmare scenario. The training event simulated a hurricane that severely damages a highly-populated apartment complex, as well as causing an illegal chemicals lab therein to explode and injure many civilians.
Walk through the scene with #CERFP commander Lt. Col. Mike Davenport and see how our Soldiers and Airmen stay prepared at all times to come together and protect Alabama in moments of #disaster.
