In 1965, most citizens of Philadelphia thought very little about issues in Southeast Asia. When the military conflict that had existed there for decades finally escalated into a full-scale war, its citizens would be thrown into the hardship, confusion and struggle that was the Vietnam War. Young men from across the city would soon be fighting across South Vietnam. Their experiences of survival and horror would change them in ways that could never be undone.
