Training with our allies is an integral part of being mission ready at all times. Air Force Technical Sergeant Xavyer Ortiz takes us to Amari Air Base, Estonia where operations have begun.

Four A-10 Thunderbolts from the 354th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron arrived in Amari Air Base, Estonia to begin training with the Estonian Air Force as part of the first European theater security package.

“We are here today to support the Estonians Defense forces so that they can get set up to prepare for conflict, future conflict. And to allow too see how their forces would deploy and redeploy throughout a large force both air and ground exercise.”

As part of Operation Atlantic Resolve or OAR these exercises help maintain joint readiness and strengthen our relationships with our NATO allies.

“Being the A-10s and we’re supporting OAR, we really get to see a large portion of, of Europe. A large portion of our NATO partners not just in combat but also get to train with them for the first time. And not train in our home turf, but go train on their home turf.”
