AFN Sights & Sounds highlight a culturally or aesthetically interesting locations near U.S. installations across the Pacific region.
Gakwonsa Temple is located in the Chungcheongnam-do province. The temple was enshrined 1977 to pray for the reunification of North and South Korea. The temple contains a 49ft. tall bronze statue of Buddha, the largest in Korea.
