DFAS downgrades Accounts Payable 15-year material weakness to control deficiency

DFAS interfaces with multiple entitlement and feeder systems producing unique information, and DFAS is responsible for consolidating, standardizing the information to provide accurate accounts payable financial statements. After being classified as a material weakness in 2004, DFAS implemented a series of milestones; Universe of transactions, reconciliations, accruals, journal vouchers, aging accounts payable, FISCAM; to fix the challenges to produce correct financial statements.
