For more information about the new service, contact the Osan passenger terminal.

Reporter:
Senior Master Sergeant Jeffrey Stewart has a different kind of baggage. In fact, his baggage has names: Taz and ‘Bama. Sergeant Stewart is the first customer to PCS from Osan Air Base with his pets and he’s grateful for the new service.
Sb:
It was definitely a stress relief not having to go through luncheon and go through all the headaches and pains, ya know. Getting up to Seoul at 4 o’clock in the morning, it made me feel a lot better.
Reporter:
Sergeant Stewart isn’t the only person this service affects, according to the passenger service officer-in-charge air force Captain Jonathan Wood.
Sb:
Well this all started right after this facility was built. Right away people were asking ‘when can i travel out with my pet?’ and to define pet it’s a dog or a cat, that’s all. But people were asking that question almost five years ago. And since I’ve been here i know we’ve been up to our necks in it and we finally made it happen.
Reporter:
Besides logistics, Sergeant Stewart finds comfort in keeping all of his loved ones close by.

Sb:
Like I said, the biggest thing is stress relief but they’re also a part of our family. So ya know, it just takes the away that worry. We know they’re here with us ya know, they’re still here with us and we’ll check them in and knowing that they’re right there with us the whole time just makes a world of a difference.
