96th ATC CoC Ceremony

96th Aviation Troop Command conducted a change of command ceremony between Col. Jason De La Vega and Lt. Col. Rebeccah Martinazzi. The ceremony took place at the Army Aviation Support Facility #1, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington on Oct. 19, 2025. On this day, Col. De La Vega relinquished command of the 96th Aviation Troop Command to Lt. Col. Martinazzi. The change of command ceremony is a traditional event that is rich with symbolism and heritage. The ceremony provides official recognition of the transfer of authority and responsibility between the outgoing and incoming commander. The presiding official for the ceremony was Brig. Gen. Paul Sellers, commanding general of the Washington Army National Guard. The music was performed by the 133d Washington Army National Guard Band and the invocation was given by Maj. Drew Paulson, the 96th Aviation Troop Command chaplain.
