The 340 FTG, located at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, supports Air Education and Training Command’s specialized undergraduate pilot training, joint primary pilot training, pilot instructor training, introduction to fighter fundamentals, Euro-NATO joint jet pilot training, basic military training and the Air Force Academy’s Airmanship Programs. The 340th FTG is the largest flying group in the Air Force, consisting of 425 instructor pilots assigned to six squadrons. Instructors fly a variety of aircraft, including the T-1A Jayhawk, T-6A Texan II, T-38 Talon,T-41A Mescalero, T-51A, T-52A, T-53, TG-15/TG-16 gliders, and UV-18B Twin Otter. There are openings with the 340th for traditional Reserve and active Guard and Reserve instructor pilots and jumpmasters. (Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.     New Jersey civic leaders visit Military City USA

    The 433rd Airlift Wing hosted nearly 30 civic leaders with the Air Force Reserve Command’s 514th Air Mobility Wing from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Nov. 29-30, 2016 here.
